In May of 2022, we were so excited to add 2 baby cows to the farm: Sweetheart and Sweettart. Sweettart is a Holstien, and Sweetheart is a Jersey. We bottle fed them for a few months, so they got very used to people and are such loving and gentle cows.
Cows
The cows mainly graze in the pastures, but sometimes we supplement their diet with hay and all-stock pellets.
Their medical care consists of a deworming medication twice a year (spring and fall), and a seven-way vaccine every year. They receive other medications and treatments as needed.
