We have a 35-acre family farm in southeast Georgia with RV sites so you too can enjoy farm life. Located between Brunswick and Jesup, we specialize in agritourism and enjoy sharing what we’ve learned with anyone interested. The farm consists of horses, donkeys, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, cows, emus, rabbits, turkeys, ducks, geese, and two families who take care of them all. We are always adding animals to the farm so there’s no telling what may be new when you come. Pull up your camper, interact with the animals and farmers as much or as little as you want, and enjoy a bon fire, s’mores, and star gazing at night. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Meet the animals

During your stay our goal is to offer you the best side of farm life - you get to love on the animals without having to clean out the barns, shovel poo, mend fences. While you are here you can come and go as you please. We have animals in four barns and several pastures where you’ll have full access to play with and pet them as much as you desire. Anything you want to do while you’re here, just ask. If we can make it happen, we will. You can even collect eggs and cook them up (however, some eggs are marked “do not eat”, as we are letting the hens hatch them). Throughout the year you’ll find fruit and vegetables growing on the farm, so pick and eat what you want. In May/June the back of the farm is full of wild blackberries, in June/July the fig tree is ready for picking, and in July/August the pear trees are so full. Feel free to bring your fishing pole and catch some bass or catfish from the two ponds, but only the eggs, fish, fruit and vegetables on the farm are edible, as our animals are “friends not food”.

Camping Rentals, Day Tours, and Volunteering

If you have an RV, camper, or tent, we have hook-up sites available. If you prefer “glamping” to camping, we have a barndominium for rent. If you want to camp but don’t have a camper, we have a Pop-up camper for rent as well. If you just don’t have the time right now for that but you still want to come to the farm, why not come for a day tour? Prefer to get your hands dirty and enjoy volunteering? Volunteer experiences are always available as well.

When you arrive, we will give you a tour of the property and then you will have access to all the animals to pet and love on as you like. No need for us to be with you after the intro tour. Our farm is your farm while you are here. If you want to feed the animals, you are welcome to come with us during the morning or night feeding (typically 8 am and sunset). We have two spring fed ponds - one for swimming and one for fishing so bring your fishing poles. The farm is surrounded by 50,000+ acres of state-owned land, so there is a lot of privacy and a lack of city noise. We are two miles down a dirt road from the Williamsburg Landing boat launch on the Altamaha River. It’s a curvy, downstream river 20+\- miles to Darien (local shrimping town) and 30+\- miles to the Atlantic Ocean. The farm also has a 1,000 square foot fitness center with ellipticals, bikes, free weights, heavy bag and more if you’re interested.

Reservations: We actually don’t take any payment to reserve your spot. We know this sounds crazy, it’s not a scam. We are real people who live on the farm. Just contact us for reservations and we’ll pencil you in; you can pay us during your stay. If you need to cancel, then just let us know. We understand life happens and you may have to cancel, no worries, we’ll see you next time.

Camper’s Reviews and Photos

  • We stayed at the farm. We had such a wonderful memorable time. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Jason Watkins, the owner who gave us a tour of the farm and made us so welcome. We received VIP service. The girls had a blast they found their happiness between petting the fluffy rabbits, collecting colorful eggs, riding the horses, playing in the playroom with the other kids, soccer practice with Marcos (our neighbor campers' son). Not to forget the goats.. the baby goats are so cute. The list goes on and on. Overall I will rate it a 100/10 experience. We made new memories and new friends. We can't wait to go back again. Thank you Jason, Lydia and Alyvia!

  • For those who know we are working on Buena's bucket list - I wanted to share a recent farm tip. We had an amazing weekend at Friends NOT Food Family Farm. If you want to get away from the city and enjoy the farm life this is the place to go. Not only did my family enjoy the farm, but Jason made the trip memorable. He let us help feed the animals, took us on a tour of the area, and really just made us feel at home. Be careful though, Biscuit (the host turkey) does like to be petted and will follow you into your camper. And check your family's pockets before they leave. My mom and my mother in law tried to take home a bunny. Thank you Jason, we will be back soon.

  • We went camping to a small town in Georgia called Jesup. We had lots of fun on the farm and the best part was that we had hardly to nonexistent (internet) connection.
