We brought the first 3 goats to the farm in May of 2021, (Ivey, Cypress, and Victoria), the day after we moved to the farm. We didn’t have any animal fencing up yet, so they stayed in our back yard for a few weeks! We wanted to get some males, so we got 3 in July of 2021, and our daughter gave them matching names with the girls (Ivan, Victor, and Cyrus). Finally, we got Jasper and Casper in January in 2022, both with the most beautiful ice blue eyes. Since then, unfortunately we lost 3 goats, but were thrilled when the 3 girls gave birth to 5 babies in December of 2022! They were the best Christmas present; baby goats are the cutest! We then added 3 hair sheep to the farm in March 2023 (Curly, Cottonball, and Dash). The sheep are still timid around people, but they are getting better.

Goats & Sheep

The goats and sheep mainly graze in the pastures, but sometimes we supplement their diet with hay and all-stock pellets mixed with corn.

The main medical care they receive is a dewormer medicine every two months, and they receive hoof care from the farrier and any other medical care from the vet as needed.
